Many others offered stories supporting that sentiment, including one that occurred Sunday night on the Northwest Side.an incident that a preliminary report states was sparked by a honkIn that case, police reported that Efrain Murillo, 22, ran a red light at Tezel and Braun roads, prompting another driver to honk at him. This angered Murillo, investigators said, and he began pursuing the honker, firing several shots at him during the chase.
Murillo had two passengers, a 22-year-old woman and a 6-month-old infant, who was not in a car seat, the report states. He subsequently dropped off his passengers at a store before continuing to pursue the driver who honked at him, firing a few more shots. Murillo was arrested by police a few moments later and booked on two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and one count of endangering a child. He was released Monday from the Bexar County Jail on bail totaling $40,000.
