DowntonAbbeyANewEra has been delayed two months from its original release date to May 2022.
Highly anticipated feature film sequel Downton Abbey: A New Era sees its release date move to late Spring 2022. The movie, also known as Downton Abbey 2, will be a sequel to the first Downton Abbey film, a spinoff of the hugely successful British historical drama TV series of the same name, which hit theaters in 2019 and grossed over $194 million.
First airing on British TV network ITV in September 2010, Downton Abbey achieved international success and became the most successful British costume drama since Brideshead Revisited in 1981. The show ran six seasons on ITV in the UK, and PBS in the United States, and wrapped in 2015, following a Christmas Special.
