Militants linked to Daesh, killed 25 people in an attack on a school in western Uganda near the border with the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ugandan police said. Members of the Allied Democratic Forces , a Ugandan group based in eastern Congo that has pledged allegiance to Daesh terrorist group, attacked Lhubirira secondary school in Mpondwe, burning a dormitory and looting food late on Friday, police said."So far 25 bodies have been recovered from the school and transferred to Bwera Hospital. Also recovered are eight victims, who remain in critical condition at Bwera Hospital," Ugandan police said on Twitter.
In April, the ADF attacked a village in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, killing at least 20 people.

Police said in a statement Saturday that the Allied Democratic Forces carried out the attack late Friday night on a school in the border town of Mpondwe. The school is located about 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) from the Congo border. “A dormitory was burnt and a food store looted. So far 25 bodies have been recovered from the school and transferred to Bwera Hospital,” the statement said, adding that eight others are in critical condition. The statement said Ugandan government troops followed the attackers into Congolese territory.
