Some acts of contrition and conciliation were offered at this week's council meeting. But no one's called off the 'outside legal counsel' yet.
Just prior to its Aug. 19 regular meeting -- scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. -- Cleveland Heights City Council continued to weigh its legal options during an extended Committee-of-the-Whole discussion in the executive conference room. Clockwise from bottom left are council members Anthony Mattox Jr., Jim Petras, Gail Larson, Clerk of Council Addie Balester, Council President Tony Cuda, Council Vice President Davida Russell, Craig Cobb, Jim Posch, and City Law Director Bill Hanna.
Seren in turn extended an olive branch at least partially during the same meeting, offering to meet individually with Council President Tony Cuda on a weekly basis, then with the rest of council monthly.
