Watch hf_dreamcatcher's enchanting new video for Scream
have rapidly become known as one of K-pop’s most distinct acts thanks to its rock-embellished dance tracks and fantasy storylines, and they’re back today with the release of their new single “Scream" and its music video.
"One day suddenly the light did not come," reads the intro for the video. "People forgot how to say good things.” This leads into the highly fantastical short film, which features the members of Dreamcatcher in a mysterious, masked tale full of destruction and chaos. They are seen as witches who are both running from and preparing to battle after all life forces appear to dissipate from a magical tree.
While not as macabre as some of their earlier releases, Dreamcatcher kept the magical, narrative style they've come to be known for, with the music video for "Scream" teasing an upcoming continuation in its final moments. Mixed into the plot, the act showcases their powerful, beguiling choreography as they perform the impactful tune. Notably, absent member Handong’s spot is filled by a masked performer, as if leaving a spot open for the singer.
The propulsive alt pop-rock song, which keeps up the act’s typical sound but amps up the dynamism of the rap segments, and its music video tie into the release of their first LP,also released today.
