She concluded, “We really tried to find our way forward. And I truly hope for a resolution for the entire industry very soon.” The news that she would be pausing the show comes days after the talk show host posted her now-deleted video apology on Instagram. She explained in the post that she was accepting responsibility and did not have a “PR machine” behind her decision to restart the show despite the ongoing writers strike.
“I certainly couldn’t have expected this kind of attention,” she said about her decision in the video. “We aren’t gonna break rules, and we will be in compliance. I wanted to do this because as I said, this is bigger than me, and there are other people’s jobs on the line.”
