A woman involved in the horrific crash on a King County road near Renton earlier this week paid her respects to the victims at a growing memorial.
Melissa Cortez told KOMO News she was stopped at a red light on the way to work on Tuesday when she was hit by a van. All four people who were killed in the crash were in the van. She visited a memorial dedicated to the victims on Thursday, March 21. . Officials said three other people involved in the crash were taken to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. Another person suffered minor injuries. Melissa Cortez told KOMO News she was stopped at a red light on the way to work on Tuesday when she was hit by a van. All four people who were killed in the crash were in the van."It’s just so reckless how an 18-year-old is driving like he’s in Fast and Furious. He’s not in Fast and Furious. Live in reality! Like, you killed a family. They can’t even see their kids grow up and graduate and see what they could become," Cortez cried.
"I remember looking at the car that hit me. I didn’t know what to do because I felt weak, lightheaded," Cortex explained. "I was panicking so much that some girl helped me. She was in the same road, and she tried to calm me down.
