A pickup truck driver was killed Monday morning after logs from a logging truck fell and struck their vehicle in Opelika, police said.
Authorities received a call around 10:03 a.m. about a multi-vehicle crash involving a logging truck on Marvyn Road near the railroad overpass, police said.The pickup truck driver, whose name was not publicly released, was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident remained under investigation Monday by Opelika police’s traffic homicide investigation team.
