The other driver was arrested on suspicion of reckless driving and child endangerment.
BRISBANE – A driver suffered major injuries after being broadsided Wednesday afternoon in Brisbane, police said.
At 3:35 p.m., an officer was monitoring traffic on the 3200 block of Bayshore Boulevard when they noticed a vehicle traveling southbound at a “high rate of speed,” the Brisbane Police Department said in a news release. The officer pulled out of a driveway to stop the vehicle, but before they could do so, the vehicle ran a red light and broadsided a vehicle making a left turn onto westbound Guadalupe Canyon Parkway, police said.
The driver of the vehicle that was broadsided was taken to a hospital with major injuries, police said. The occupants of the other vehicle, which included a minor, suffered minor injuries, police said. The driver of that vehicle was arrested and booked into San Mateo County jail on charges of reckless driving and child endangerment.
