Police shared that before the tractor-trailer became embedded into the Derry Township home, it hit another home, vehicles and drove through nearby lawns.

Photos provided by the Derry Township Police Department.The driver of a truck tractor that became embedded in a Derry Township home on Thursday evening is being investigated for driving under the influence, according to police.

The driver was able to get out of the truck with assistance but was later transported to Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center for treatment, police said. Before the truck tractor hit the home, it was headed west on East Derry Road, police said. It left the north side of the road, went through the yards of two homes, then went back to the road and nearly hit a vehicle driving east. Police said the vehicle had an adult and three children inside.
