Eagles quarterbacks coach Doug Nussmeier, who has worked with Dak Prescott and Justin Herbert, will be working with Jalen Hurts this season, hoping to get the most out of him.
Eagles quarterbacks coach Doug Nussmeier spoke Monday about his coaching approach and shared his thoughts about quarterback Jalen Hurts.to commit to the University of Florida. As he watched along with other college coaches doing the same job, Nussmeier was initially shocked when he saw Hurts’ skills and natural talent.
“I’ll never forget it because I went there to see this kid, and when I watched him on tape, I was very impressed,” Nussmeier recalled Monday, his first time talking to the Philadelphia media. “I was thinking about Texas high school football, and when I walked out there, he was the biggest guy on the field. From that point, I had a lot of respect for him because their team hadn’t had a ton of success, and here’s a guy who essentially took that team to the playoffs.
