Chance LaChappa's 66-yard reception puts Vaqueros coach in triple figures
In the years to come, Ron Burner shouldn’t have much trouble remembering the final score of his 100th career victory as the head coach of the El Capitan Vaqueros.
Both defenses took turns making stop after stop throughout the game as the yards were nearly as difficult to achieve as those seven points, particularly for the Vaqueros. “We faced some adversity but we were able to make some plays and get this win,” El Capitan senior linebacker Dominic Denha said. “We had to hold them to zero, we knew it might be important. We were playing light out.”
“That was a great throw from Brandt,"LaChappa said. “He couldn’t have thrown it any better than that. And Coach Burner is a great coach. He coached my three older brothers, so it was great to make this touchdown in a game like this.”
