PIMA COUNTY, Ariz. — More than 300 inmates were evacuated from a Pima County detention center on Friday evening after an electrical fire, authorities said.
The fire originated in a non-housing area of the center, but out of"an abundance of caution," about 380 inmates were evacuated from the main jail annex. Two corrections officers were taken to a hospital for further assessment and others are being treated by on-scene EMS, authorities said.
