UPDATE Despite the fire being 0% contained, the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office has lifted evacuation calls and reopened closed roads. However, a Red Flag Warning is still in place for the southeastern portion of the state.
TUCSON, Ariz. — A wildfire near Elgin, Ariz. has spread to as many as 4,000 acres, according to Air Attack.
Structures were threatened and evacuations were declared Monday. The blaze moved northeast through heavy grass, advancing up Mustang Mountain.Firefighters main object Tuesday is to keep the fire from moving east near kilovolt lines which supply power to Fort Huachuca and Sierra Vista.
