We chat with Elizabeth Perkins (elizbethperkins) about joining Minx for season 2, why she wanted to be a part of the STARZ series, and what's in store for her character:
Minx is set in 1970s Los Angeles and centers around Joyce , an earnest young feminist who joins forces with a low-rent publisher to create the first erotic magazine for women. In season 2, Doug and Joyce grapple with Minx’s explosive success, which brings more money, fame and temptation than either of them knows how to handle.
Elizabeth Perkins: It's always like, "Oh, please, I hope everybody's really nice." But I got the vibe from season one that everybody was having a really good time. It was just like sliding into home base being with these people. Everybody is so down to earth, there were no divas, everybody's just there because the work is great, and the scripts are great. Everyone's wearing these great outfits. We all huddled in a green room every day.
Screen Rant: How did it feel putting on those outfits, though? Because you have some nice outfits that you wear this season. Elizabeth Perkins: I'm excited for people to see how disruptive she is. You've got this really tight-knit group of people in the bullpen, and then this woman comes in, and she's ultra wealthy, and people don't know what to do with her, how to talk to her, or how to communicate. She's playing this long game of chess that none of them see, basically, so that she can gain complete control and power over everyone. I think she outsmarts them. Maybe.
