Twitter was among the last major platforms to ban Alex Jones and the account of his InfoWars website from its platform after facing weeks of criticism for failing to act against him. Jack Dorsey, Twitter’s co-founder and its CEO at the time initially refused to ban Jones saying that he had not violated any of the platform’s rules. However, the hammer eventually fell after Jones streamed videos of himself on Twitter heckling several people including CNN journalist Oliver Darcy and Sen.
