The “Benny and the Jets” singer took to social media on Tuesday to reveal that he has been struggling with a “severe eye infection” that left him “with only limited vision in one eye.” He continued in his statement, “I am healing, but it’s an extremely slow process and it will take some time before sign returns to the impacted eye.”
John then thanked the doctors and nurses that have been caring for him, noting that he’s “been quietly spending the summer recuperating at home, and am feeling positive about the progress I have made in my healing and recovery thus far.” He signed the note with his name, “with love and gratitude.”.
