A margarita cash bar, live music and a candlelight procession is featured in an event called Calacas & Cocktails from 6 to 9 p.m. on Oct. 29 at City Place. Admission is free, but an expanded experience is offered for $30.
The expanded experience includes two specialty cocktails, Catrina face painting, a floral crown and a candle kit for the procession. The party on the patio at City Place features mojigangas leading to the traditional altar.Living Stones Church in Magnolia presents a Fall festival event and car show from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 29. Admission is free. To show a car in the show is $30.
The event includes games, pumpkin painting, a bounce house, a bake sale, a costume contest and trunk or treat. Judging is at noon for the car show benefiting the church’s youth group.The St. Ignatius Women’s Club is hosting a Halloween dance on Oct. 29 from 7 to 10 p.m., featuring DJ Terry Parker. Ages 21 and up and admission, dinner and two drinks is $50 in advance, $55 at the door.
The dance features a costume contest, though costumes are optional. The event raises money for The Women’s Club.or email [email protected] presents its 14th annual Nature Fest at Oak Meadow Park from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Oct. 29. Admission is free, but a few activities may require a small fee.
Headlining this year’s event is Jungle Jordan, a renowned zookeeper and wildlife educator. The event also features pony rides, a petting zoo, nature exhibitions, laser tag and more. The event benefits Cy-Hope, a local organization dedicated to bringing hope and opportunity to every child in the Cy-Fair area.
