Evacuations, streets closed in City Heights after contractor hits underground gas line [Breaking]
A contractor hit a gas pipe in City Heights and caused a gas leak that led to evacuations and several streets being closed down as a precaution Thursday afternoon, authorities said.
San Diego police evacuated businesses and residents in the area, including those along 44th Street between University Avenue and Polk Avenue.
