King: Gone off.

King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands has, as the kids say, entered the chat. On Tuesday, the Dutch royal was caught on video appearing to poke fun at the situation.

Several wire services issued a kill notice for it soon after, citing evidence that it had been manipulated, and Middleton then issued an apology on social media, signed “C.” “Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing. I wanted to express my apologies for any confusion the family photograph we shared yesterday caused. I hope everyone celebrating had a very happy Mother’s Day. C,” the message posted Monday read.
