In a statement Monday, Spencer said his department would be receiving help in their ground search from Texas Search and Rescue, or Spencer said they planned to search wooded areas to the north and east of the family's residence along the 3700 block of Wisteria Drive on foot, on horseback and by air with drones. The family had rented the home while living there.
Volunteers with the Austin-based nonprofit drove in from across the state to join the search. The organization has worked search and rescue cases across the state and beyond for 20 years.
