hit from 2014 before Legend walked on stage with his soulful swagger that sugar-coated the first verse. Shelton then zested the chorus with his country vocals before Clarkson came in from their red turning chairs and packed a punch with her high notes .

The performance will air during the opening episode of the singing competition series' 18th season, which will kick off next Monday, Feb. 24 at 8:00 p.m. ET.
