San Antonio saw at least as many fatal road-rage shootings as 40 states in 2022; Texas leads nation
Drivers make their way Jan. 4, 2022, through construction on US 281. Sadly such killings are nothing new in Texas.
"Texas leads the nation in road rage homicides. Be safe out here," user BrutonRd wrote in the social media post. Yet, as shocking as that statistic is, it may be more surprising given the fact that San Antonio is just third in Texas for such incidents. Houston saw eight such incidents between 2022 and 2023, and Fort Worth five. In total, those incidents took place across 16 localities in Texas; Austin saw two and Dallas and El Paso just one each.
