Ewan McGregor recalls the time his stunt double tried to do a flip and broke his front teeth on the set of StarWars: Attack of the Clones.
Ewan McGregor shared a story about his stunt double breaking his front teeth during the filming of Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones. In the Star Wars prequel trilogy, McGregor played Obi-Wan Kenobi, a younger version of the character portrayed in the original trilogy by Sir Alec Guinness. The master Jedi who would go on to train young Luke Skywalker was also the mentor to his father Anakin, who would grow up to become the fearsome Sith Lord known as Darth Vader.
[Nash Edgerton] was my stunt double in Moulin Rouge. I didn’t have many stunts in Moulin Rouge really, I can’t actually remember if there were any, but he was my sent double… We were in the same studio and literally we went so over schedule on Moulin Rouge that Star Wars came in with bulldozers to take our sets down to get theirs up in time for us to start shooting. It was really back to back.
And he looked over at his mum, and he went “I’m fine! I’m fine!” and he made a little signal to the stunt guy who took his mum away because he didn’t want his mum to see that he’d really hurt himself.
