Ex-Trump adviser Steve Bannon asked a judge to let him change lawyers as he defends himself against charges that he defrauded donors to the 'We Build the Wall' campaign.
Bannon ignored questions from reporters asking if he was advising anyone in Brazil's protest movement.
"With all due respect, I believe you're 100% wrong," the judge said. "The question is, is this being done to delay the proceedings?" "There has been a direct breakdown in communication so that Mr. Bannon and his lawyers don't communicate directly," Schoen said."As long as the schedule remains, we have no position on who is counsel is," Manhattan assistant district attorney Daniel Passesser said.
The judge declined a request from co-counsel John Mitchell to immediately terminate him and Schoen as Bannon's lawyers.
