SAN RAMON — They won’t forget this game, this scene, this championship at Dougherty Valley.
Two days after it rallied from 27 points behind in the third quarter to stun San Ramon Valley in the semifinals, Doughtery Valley kept the score tight the entire way against Granada. Playing at home in the EBAL final, the Wildcats pushed Dublin for four quarters and beyond without their star that season — Beasley’s brother, Robby — before eventually falling in double overtime.“It means everything,” Beasley said. “We were here my freshmen year and we lost. I knew we had to come back and get it my senior year. Man, this means a lot to me. We’ve got a lot of love here. Dougherty’s a big family. Our crowd is at every game this year. Shout out to them.
Sevilla led Dougherty Valley with 25 points, making five 3-pointers and once again highlighting his ability to swish step-back jumpers from long distances.
