Exclusive Simulant Clip Shows Simu Liu Aiding Robbie Amell's Fugitive A.I.

ComingSoon is debuting an exclusive Simulant clip from the upcoming sci-fi thriller by director April Mullen.

‘s Evan — an A.I. who thinks it is the deceased husband it was made to replace. The movie is currently exclusively on DIRECTV and will release in theaters and through video-on-demand platforms on June 2.

“Set in the near future, Evan , an android simulant, is created for Faye to replace her dead husband,” reads the movie’s synopsis. “To fully realize all his human traits, Evan enlists Casey , a brilliant global hacker whose mission is to remove all restrictions governing simulants’ thoughts and capabilities. In doing so, he unleashes an A.I. uprising, triggering a government manhunt led by Agent Kessler who will take extreme measures to eliminate the rise of the android machines.
