The Westlake Laboratory of Life Sciences and Biomedicine (WLLSB) is one of the first comprehensive research institutes founded by Zhejiang province, China.

The Westlake Laboratory of Life Sciences and Biomedicine is one of the first comprehensive research institutes founded by Zhejiang province, China. Sponsored by Westlake University, WLLSB strives to generate breakthroughs in both basic and translational research, focusing on aging-associated diseases and cancer, two of the most prominent and challenging areas in biomedical research.

WLLSB invites applications for multiple tenure-track/tenured faculty positions at all academic levels. Successful applicants will also be appointed as adjunct faculty members at Westlake University. Applicants with expertise in aging and neurodegeneration and related areas are particularly encouraged to apply.

Competitive candidates must hold Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degrees, an outstanding record of research accomplishments, an innovative future research plan, an ability to achieve teaching excellence at both undergraduate and graduate levels, and a commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive community in the practice and teaching of science.

Successful applicants will be offered internationally competitive salaries and benefits, a generous start-up package, modern laboratory space, and access to state-of-the-art core facilities at WLLSB, including cryo-electron microscopy, mass spectrometry, flow cytometry, light microscopy, genomics, metabolism, bioinformatics, and high-throughput screening.
