His family held a candlelight vigil for him Thursday night.
It’s been nearly two weeks since a man was shot and killed outside a Mobile sports bar, and police are still trying to track down his killer. The victim, Anthony Pope, was shot outside the All Sports Bar & Grill on Pleasant Valley Road.
His family held a candlelight vigil for him Thursday night and hope someone will come forward with information.FOX10 News spoke with an employee at the bar, who says there was a fight that started inside, and escalated into the parking lot when shots were fired. The victim’s godmother Darlene Banks says the family is still in the dark about what prompted the argument.
“We don’t know. We don’t know, no,” Banks said. “It’s just so much violence and so much violence for simple reasons or no reason at all. The violence is just out of control. Justice is gonna be done. It’s not our justice to get.”“Just best friends. We stayed in the house with each other and got grounded with each other,” Boutwell said. “It’s really not enough you can really say but just a best friend, always could count on him.
