A 50-year-old FedEx truck driver was killed just after midnight Saturday on a Lebanon County stretch of Interstate 81, Pennsylvania State Police said.
The FedEx tractor-trailer went off the highway, crashed into another vehicle and rolled over around 12:16 a.m. at mile marker 88.6 in Union Township, according to state police. It’s unclear what caused the FedEx driver, a 50-year-old man, to crash. The man was trapped inside the tractor-trailer after the crash, and pronounced dead at the scene, state police said. State police said the man was hauling tandem trailers when he crashed.
State police have not released the FedEx driver’s name. His passenger was taken to Penn State Hershey Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. The 18-year-old woman driving the other vehicle involved in the crash was not injured, state police said.READ MORE:
