Here’s what you should remember: COVID-19 spreads when the virus responsible for the disease, SARS-CoV-2, a coronavirus,. Since COVID-19 is spread by respiratory droplets, the important and limiting factor is how far those droplets can travel when someone sneezes or coughs. Typically, experts say that’s about six feet, or a little under two meters.
