Fain authorized pickets and stoppages at plants in Lansing, Michigan and Chicago, Illinois late last week, taking the number of striking workers to around 25,000, following claims that talks with Ford and GM had failed to progress over the prior seven-day period. Ford shares were marked 0.08% lower in pre-market trading to indicate an opening bell price of $12.06 each while GM slipped 0.22% to $31.31 each. Stellantis was down 0.74% in early trading in Milan.
