Offensive lineman Damieon George used Twitter to announce he was entering the transfer portal after his third season with the Crimson Tide. He would be the fifth Alabama player to enter the portal since the season began.
The Houston product arrived in the 2020 signing class as the No. 31 offensive tackle in the 247Sports Composite. He played in just the first two games this year after starting three games last year at right tackle when injuries reshuffled of the offensive line late in the regular season. George saw 33 snaps in the Iron Bowl in his third and final start of the season.
Alabama completed its regular season with a 10-2 record but since it missed the SEC Championship, it now waits to learn its postseason fate Sunday.
