Former Astros star Carlos Correa gets agrees to huge contract with Giants

That's the most money ever given to a shortstop, topping the $341 million over 10 years the Mets gave Francisco Lindor before the 2021 season and the $340 over 14 years the Padres gave Fernando Tatis Jr.
The Giants, who went 81-81 last season but won an MLB-best 107 games in 2021, landed Correa after narrowly missing out on the Judge sweepstakes. The contract puts Correa in the National League West where he'll have 13 games against the Dodgers, whosedue to his role in the cheating scandal of the 2017 Astros, who beat the Dodgers in the World Series.
