He and Freeze have been friends for more than 20 years, dating back to their careers as high school coaches in Arkansas and Tennessee Freeze didn’t get the job, but the two kept in touch following that first encounter and developed a relationship as their careers took off, following similar paths: high school coaches to college assistants, to Group of Five head coaches and then SEC counterparts.I’ve also got a couple old sweater vests laying around if you ever need them 😁Their paths intersected again after the 2011 season, when Freeze left Arkansas State for Ole Miss.
