Former Miss USA Cheslie Kryst died this week by suicide, according to the local medical examiner’s office. Her mother spoke out about how the former pageant winner was struggling with depression.
Her mother said Ms. Kryst, a reporter and former attorney, suffered from ‘high-functioning depression which she hid from everyone’ Cheslie Kryst was 28 years old when she won the 2019 Miss USA, making her the oldest winner in the pageant’s history.
