SEATTLE — A 38-year-old Federal Way man was charged with first-degree arson Tuesday after King County prosecutors say he intentionally set a fire at a Belltown apartment complex where he used to live.
Jerrico Irizarry was arrested by Seattle police on Monday in connection with the fire that damaged parts of the apartment building located in the 2200 block of First Avenue on March 10. According to court documents, Irizarry used a torch-style lighter to set several fires in the building’s parking garage, elevator and courtyard.Another victim was taken to the Harborview Medical Center where they remain in critical condition as of Monday.He is set to be arraigned next month.
