Beth-El Congregation will hold a vigil Tuesday night to express solidarity with Israel in the wake of Sunday’s surprise attack by Hamas.
The vigil will begin at 6:30 p.m. at 4900 Briarhaven Road. The Fort Worth city Council Canceled its public comment meeting Tuesday so members could attend. Rabbi Brian Zimmerman expressed his sorrow at the recent attacks, which he noted came 50 years to the day of the 1973 Yom Kippur War, He called for prayers for the people of Israel and for innocent civilians both in the West Bank and Gaza.Harrison Mantas has covered the city of Fort Worth’s government, agencies and people since September 2021.
