Police reported the suspects – two adults and two juveniles – 'mainly targeted... victims for their construction tools' in the East Oakland area.
The Oakland Police Department announced on Friday that the suspects – two adults and two juveniles – were arrested in connection with at least nine robberies that have occurred mainly in East Oakland over the past three months.
Police reported the suspects, who were not identified by name,""mainly targeted... victims for their construction tools." During the arrests, OPD investigators recovered four firearms, a replica firearm and"evidence related to the robberies." Police further reported two of the recovered firearms"contained a device that transformed the weapon from semi-automatic to fully automatic with a single pull of the trigger."
An investigation into the robberies is ongoing, and anyone with information was asked to contact the OPD at 510 238-3326.
