The California Highway Patrol issued a Sig-alert blocking all southbound Interstate 880 lanes as part of an unspecified investigation Tuesday.
The CHP issued the alert at 11:08 a.m., and updated it at 12:33 p.m. to all southbound lanes at Mission Boulevard.that claimed the life of a 5-year-old girl sitting in a family’s car headed to a birthday dinner at a local steakhouse.Monday, the CHP said victims of that shooting approached an officer with its San Jose office around 6:40 p.m. Saturday to report the shooting. The girl, later identified as Eliyanah Cristostomo, died at a hospital.
Investigators did not immediately share any details about the closure’s connection. Detectives with the CHP’s Golden Gate Division are investigating the shooting, and anyone with information may call an investigation tip line at 707-917-4491.
