The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is reportedly planning to block Microsoft’s $69 billion purchase of video game maker Activision Blizzard, maker of best selling game Call of Duty.
In response, Microsoft VP and President Brad Smith told FOX Business, "We welcome the opportunity to present our case in federal court.""We believe accelerating the legal process in the U.S. will ultimately bring more choice and competition to the market," he finished. MICROSOFT EXEC SAYS AI MUST REMAIN UNDER HUMAN CONTROL
In April, British regulators at the Competition and Markets Authority attempted to block the purchase, saying "the only effective remedy to the substantial loss of competition is to prohibit the merger of what would be the largest deal in tech history."
