This year's event will run June 21-29, with an estimated 1,750 artists performing in 326 shows across 20 venues.
Ticketed headliners include Taj Mahal , Lee Ritenour Band with Randy Brecker and Bill Evans , Laufey , John Oates and Samara Joy . All ticketed headliners are scheduled to perform at 8 p.m. inside the Eastman Theatre. Tickets are on sale, though the Laufey show has already sold out.Free headliners include Christone “Kingfish” Ingram , Sheila E. and E-Train , Los Lonely Boys and Cimafunk . Those performances are scheduled for 9 p.m.
A free Mardi Gras-themed show featuring New Orleans musicians Tony Hall, Leo Nocentelli, George Porter Jr., Ian Neville and Ivan Neville will close the festival June 29 at Parcel 5. Two new venues will join the Club Pass Series this year. The Inn on Broadway will host nightly shows at 5:30 and 7:30, while The Duke — located in Sibley Square — will host nightly shows at 7:45 and 9:45.
Jazz Starts at the Library, a series of five free noon concerts, returns to the Central Library of Rochester and Monroe County.
