The average cost of a gallon of regular is more than $4.47 in New Jersey, higher than the national average.

The average cost of a gallon of regular is up nearly 25 cents from a week ago and nearly 37 cents from a month ago, according to AAA. The average cost for a gallon a year ago was $3.02.

Analysts say crude prices are unlikely to fall as long as the supply remains tight and oil cost remain over $100 a barrel.New Jersey’s average cost per gallon is higher than the national average of $4.32, but lower than neighboring Pennsylvania at $4.50 and New York at $4.51.
