Eight female filmmakers have been selected to take part in an inaugural development program as part of Geena Davis (GDIGM)'s Bentonville Film Foundation. Here's who was selected:

“When the images we see in our daily lives don’t reflect the real world, a powerful and unconscious bias is perpetuated," Davis, who is the co-founder and chair of the Bentonville Film Festival and founder of Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media, said in a statement.
The eight fellows will be recognized at the annual Bentonville Film Festival in Arkansas, held from April 29-May 2.
