With so many parties to attend and illicit substances to sample, very few major Vought supes in The Boys have time for parenting. The only super-powered child The Boys has dedicated narrative space to thus far is Ryan Butcher, son of Homelander.
Aside from his name and face, The Boys' Translucent funeral scene revealed nothing about young Maverick. The main show gave no indication that Maverick was a supe himself, nor that he would be following in Translucent's footsteps at Vought. Since Godolkin University is a training ground for Vought's future employees, however, Maverick's attendance there confirms his future career as a supe.
Translucent may have passed some bad habits down to his son, but Maverick's powers are not directly inherited via genetics. The Boys has previously confirmed that Ryan Butcher is significant for being the first-ever supe born through natural means. All other supes in The Boys received their abilities from Compound V injections. This means Translucent must have gained Vought's permission to imbue his son with Compound V when Maverick was a child.
