Watson isn’t normally a member of the panel, but was added specially for the meeting by Republican leaders, providing the deciding “no” vote. Other Republicans said they were concerned about the price tag, which Lucas estimated at $580 million a year, as well as other details.after Republican House Speaker Jon Burns of Newington said he wanted to explore the idea.
