is undertaking an ambitious multiuse expansion project with the addition of two structures over 20,000 square feet slated for the southwest corner of the 55-acre estate.
The project involves four main areas - The Spa, The Wine Cave, product warehouse and distribution facility, and Rickhouse. Here’s a look at what is involved:The winery said in a news release that The Wine Cave and Tasting Room will allow for a traditional wine-tasting experience separate from a restaurant experience. The Cave covers an underground 1,000-square-foot tasting room and adjoining 4,500 square-foot wine-barrel cave for barrel aging.
Gervasi was developed in 2010 and has evolved to an estate-winery destination with several restaurants, event space and overnight accommodations. “Gervasi Vineyard has a rich twelve-year history and it has always been our promise to our guests that we will continue to develop new endeavors and experiences that people will enjoy as much as our vineyard, wines, and spirits,” GV Destinations founder Ted Swaldo said in a release. “By our true nature, we love the challenge of building new spaces and mastering processes that create a memorable experience for our guests and community.
