“Do we want to put a massive manufacturing terminal the size of 75 outlet malls in the middle of three historic small towns, farms and one of the few remaining areas that provides low- and middle-income housing?” she said. “Mexico is actively working to bring manufacturing back in their country, and they will fully utilize I-35 as their main corridor through Texas and to other states nationwide,” he said. “The site also lends itself to nearshoring for products coming back to Mexico from China.”
