Clear Brook girls use late rally to down Alief Taylor in bi-district round
Alief Taylor's Nataliyah Gray scored 24 points in her team's 45-41 bi-district playoff loss to Clear Brook on Tuesday night.ALVIN — Clear Brook is probably wondering how it won a Class 6A girls basketball playoff game Tuesday night just as much as Alief Taylor is baffled about how it lost.
“It was a huge turning point,” Taylor coach Brandy Jones said. “That’s our go-to player, but we still had opportunities after that. We made some bad turnovers toward the end, and a couple of calls didn’t go our way. Taylor sophomore guard Madison Bush-Lewis then tied the game on a drive to the basket for a 41-all score with 26 seconds left.
