Global insurer QBE Insurance is taking more than 20,000 square feet of office space in the business park at 6400 International Parkway.
The new office is scheduled to open this spring and is being designed by Dallas’ Entos Design, according to planning documents filed with the state.QBE is based in Australia and is one of the world’s largest insurers. It operates in more than two dozen countries. The North American division of the company has more than $5 billion in annual premiums.
The new location in International Business Park is in a building developed by Dallas’ Billingsley Co. in 1997. The property is marketed by Jones Lang LaSalle. International Business Park includes 11 buildings with 1.4 million square feet of space. The park houses operations for more than 100 businesses and over 4,000 employees.
In December, Billingsley broke ground on a five-story, 250,000-square-foot office building at the campus.
